A lot is added to a campfire using it.
I use it with my Lavabox and my SoloStove. It is a pretty substantial investment and as expected and necessary, quite heavy. Being able to use it at home helps justify the cost.

Warmth, warmth around the fire. This fire reflector allows all of us to sit around our fire pit at night and be toasty warm. Now we see the stars without being too cold to enjoy them. Wonderful product. Extremely well built. Worth every penny!
It's a very cool device. The flexible design allows us to adjust for changes in wind to keep the smoke away but keep the radiant heat coming back. Worked great on the beach.
We were on the Cape Lookout national seashore in North Carolina, this island with dispersed camping, right as a heavy storm was about to roll in, with at least 25 to 30 mile an hour wind gusts, we wanted to have a fire before bed.
This was by far the hardest fire to start and maintain and as it so happened also the first time that we were using these incredible panels. Without them starting this fire would have been impossible, not to mention the fact that the fire burned for a solid 3 to 4 hours without any disturbance from the weather. Cannot recommend this enough in terms of both reflection of heat and survivability, these pack away so fantastically well and are tucked up into our rooftop tent when transiting from campsite to campsite.

I have had it for about a week. I finally got someplace cool enough to give it a go. First off as you can see from the picture I am using the reflector with a fire can.
The reflector does a wonderful job of blocking the wind which with a fire can is absolutely crucial. Without the reflector on a windy evening you may as well just get in your bag. Unless the flame is cranked well past midrange and you are standing in very close proximity to the can you just don’t get much benefit except when the flames are lapping at your trousers! So I am exceptionally happy to find out what a wonderful wind break I have in my new reflector! I can now sit comfortably in my chair with an adult beverage of choice and be toasty warm.
As for the reflection aspect, the night I used it there was a stiff breeze. That, combined with the fact that the top of my fire can or rather the base of my flames is 8 inches off the ground means I am only effectively using two thirds of the reflective surface. It was definitely throwing some btu’s my direction but I think if it were around a ground height fire it would be noticeably better. With that said I am extremely happy with the performance of my reflector.

The Original Fire Reflector by MC Ranch Overland is the icing on the cake after a long day of driving and setting up camp! It’s also a confidence booster knowing that your campfire is shielded from the elements! This fire reflector made our experience a high end classy memory equivalent to sitting at home around the fireplace! It was one of the first pieces of gear I set up! Absolutely one of our best instruments!!!
It was rainy and windy at the So-Cal Expo and this reflector came in clutch. We could enjoy being outside and warm without worrying that the wind would blow down the flames.
I love my MC Ranch Fire Reflector! Its a game changer, particulary when paired with a fire-can that doesn't put out the BTU's like a wood fire. Its fantastic for not just heat reflection but light! The case it came with is top notch and its flat enough to put in the back of the Gladiator and other things can pile on top so it doesn't take up as much space as you would think. I'll be giving this to my kids and them to my grandkids. It is industrial!!!!

Our burn ban just got lifted here so I haven’t been able to put it to the test! But this thing is built to last. Super heavy duty and very well put together . I’ll give a better review when I take her out camping… Stay tuned
I have seen many around but the Original Fire Reflector by far is the best one out there. Amazing heat and light reflection and also protection. I stand behind it when cooking to avoid my knees from getting heated or burned. I use it for wood fires, propane bowls and wind protection when cooking.

As soon as I brought it to Korea and brought it, I went camping and used it, and it was so good and I was proud, and people asked where you bought it. They said it looked so good.

Absolutely love your product, very well built, looks great and perfect addition to my camping gear. I will say this … as great as the product is I was unimpressed with the extra last minute $62.00 shipping ( tariff cost) add on after I purchased this. I received an email saying we owed this amount and need to paid before receipt of item. I thought we were buying from a company located in California but only to find out this product is shipped from Canada and the company passes the tariff off to the customer with no upfront notification. Would have been nice to know that upfront.
Love the product, this is the second one I’ve bought. Please beware, if you live in the states, you will have to pay tariff fees and MC Ranch Overland does not openly state that at the time of purchase (its burred in the fine print of their shipping policies on their website).
This is a great item for anyone who spends a lot of time outside next to a fire. From Provicial campgrounds fire pits to the ones you have at home, this adds/maginifies/REFLECTS a lot of the heat from your fire. The style is great and its super functional;
1. the ground peg holes are a solid build and idea
2. its not too large to pack and carry and the perfect size to see over your fire, it does not block any good views
3. lots of heat is aimed back at you
4. lessens the wind taking your fire away from your control and the endless game of moving your chair from the shifting smoke.
A great gift for camping or at home use. Yes it may seem like a lot of money to spend, but it is totally worth it!
This fire deflector is unbelievably AWESOME ! We used it to reflect the fire towards us and it worked great.
We also put the reflector behind us and our backs stayed warm also.

Honestly I was going to try to build my own!!
but quickly realized how much it would cost $$$ I’m glad I went for it, the build quality and the included case makes it worth it.
I used this product this weekend to block the wind from my outside gas grill plumbed to my RV for propane. The product was great to block the wind during grilling. It was also nice when I was complete grilling as I hinged the four panels to completely block my grill from my dogs wanting to lick the hot grease grill surface.

While I've not had the opportunity to use it out on the trail, this heat reflector is extremely well made, looks great and is rather stout. It packs up to a compact form making it easy to transport.
